Has anybody won this game, I don't see it anywhere in the Is it Winnable section. I've played it over 1,000 times, very close sometimes, but no winner. |

Hi Sir Ken, In a recent post I mentioned Diavalo when in actual fact I was thinking of Boudoir. Close huh? I was playing Diavalo today and thought that someone who plays it more frequently may improve on my efforts with 1792139135. It's frustratingly close. Richard. |

Well done Sir Ken you're obviously more adept than most at this game. I can't even establish a strategy regarding the foundations versus the tableau. Have a go at 1947202303. It was the best of the ones I tried today. Richard won! |

Hi Sir Ken, Is there no rest for the wicked? A man just get your Midshipman stonker sorted out, and now we're invited to lock horns with Diavalo. |

Almost got the Diavalo with my first attempt. Scored 70 something. I then noticed that any suit could go on the foundations, not just heart on heart etc. Never got anywhere near as close thereafter. Will get back to it. |

Just back it up to where you brought the jack down from the waste and uncover the ace at that point. Dont play the black ace in the first column leave it there. |

Thanks Ken, I'd already done that but came unstuck getting the red king out of the waste at the correct time. I'd have got there anon but thanks for keeping my grey hair count down. |

Ken, How about some help for the Diavolo-impaired people in our little community (viz. almost everybody)? Do you concentrate on uncovering the cards in the tableau, concentrate on uncovering cards in the stock, concentrate on making the runs in the tableau, or concentrate on playing cards to the foundation? I know, I know...you concentrate on all 4 at the same time. (Ask a stupid question...) P.S. Does anyone know where Sir Richard is? Even for a Scotsman, surely he can't still be on holiday? |

Okay, Ken, if I concentrate on the left side, I can get a score of 71 but with a waste of 25, and if I concentrate on playing to the right side, I can only get 66 but with a waste of only 13. Thoughts? Ken |

Hi Ken--that is so interesting about your scores for Diavolo but how about a "plain ol'" winning number? This game is more frustrating than 13 Packs--- Have a great day! Maria |

Dont really have a good answer there. I try to always get kings in play and keep as few cards played to the aces. here is a start.

I'm sure you're right about this being winnable Ken, but as I've said before, Diavolo is not my cup of tea at all. I've got this one very close to the finish line but not quite there. Got a meeting with a solicitor today. They are probably my favourite people on earth, them and bankers. Will see if I'm in the mood to have another stab at this one when I get back. |

A couple of definitions appear to be in order. Solicitous...."Eager to obtain something desirable, or to avoid anything evil; concerned; anxious; careful"...........Yep that me all right! Masochistic.........."Someone who needs the pain every once and again"......Guest..... "One to whom entertainment or hospitality has been extended by another in the role of host or hostess"........Relative......"The connection of people by blood or marriage; kinship".......Sarcastic......"Drawing attention to the association between guests and relatives"......Pedant....."One who pays undue attention to the fact that I said that a couple of definitions were in order".......Relieved......."A person who has no guests or relatives coming to stay". Set point? |

You know I hate Diavolo Ken, but I did get pretty close to winning this one. I can never be bothered trying to reassemble to cards into the right order when I hit a dead end. I play then two or three times and then give them a uni-digital salute. |
