We have just returned from the Shareware Industry Conference in Rochester NY. Pretty Good Solitaire was nominated for the Shareware Industry Award for Best Non-Action Game this year. It did not win that award (it was won by a puzzle game called JigJag). Pretty Good Solitaire was previously nominated in 1999, 2001, and 2003 and won in 1999 and 2001. The Shareware Industry Awards are voted on by members of the shareware industry. However, Pretty Good Solitaire did win the Peoples Choice Award for best shareware non-action game in 2004. This award is voted by the public at web sites such as download.com, Tucows, and Simtel. This award was a complete surprise as Pretty Good Solitaire has not won it since it won in 1999 and 2000. I'd like to thank all the people who voted for Pretty Good Solitaire this year and all the customers and users who made this possible.
