Hi--I wonder if someone can explain just what is the difference between these two games? Maybe I'm a little dense but I don't see anything dissimilar--and they are both awful to win. I have been dealt layouts that have absolutely no moves to make from the beginning--I think there's a better chance of winning "House on the Hill"! |

Alexander the Great has 4 fewer fans than Clover Leaf does, which means there are fewer piles in the tableau, making fewer places to put cards and making the game harder. |

aha--OK, but they still seem still just about equal in difficulty--I have had hands dealt out in both games that have absolutely no moves at all from the beginning--these games could be played quite a few times before one gets lucky--- |

Frances, both the games you mention are open, so one can plan moves before one plays, if you select new game without making any moves it counts not in your stats; |

I know they are open but there have been times when what is dealt is totally unplayable-- |
