Why is it when you click on to a certain game, that it starts playing the game before you press start. Regards ALAN |

If autoplay is turned on for the game then it will go ahead and play what cards that will play and then stop. |

I always thought that the game catches up to the position of the last unfinished game of the current gametype. But I could be wrong. |

>Why is it when you click on to a certain game, that it starts playing the game before you press start. This is the automatic game saving feature. When you quit a game in progress, the program will automatically save your position. When you play that particular game again, the program will replay all your moves up to the point where you left off. You can either continue playing or click on the new game button for a new game. The automatic game saving feature can be turned off in the Options menu.

Longtime player of another very popular solitaire game suite is now considering converting to PGS. My concern is in the choosing of the game numbers. When I choose game #1, #2, #3, etc and then review the stats, each of the chosen game numbers is replaced by the same long digit number. Hummmmm. I don't like that! Any feedback? Thanks, so far I like PGS better than the other packages I've played. So I really hope to resolve this one issue. Thanks and hello all!!! |

>When I choose game #1, #2, #3, etc and then review the stats, each of the chosen game numbers is replaced by the same long digit number. The games should show up in the statistics under their proper game numbers. If you play #1, #2, and #3 you should see them listed there under those games numbers (once the game is actually complete, that is). If you are seeing something different, please send me a screenshot by email. Best would be the winning game screen with the statistics list showing plus the current game number showing at the bottom of the window. |

>The games should show up in the statistics under their proper game numbers. Yes they should, but not if I click "random game" after choosing my game number instead of the "play #x" button...DUH!!! LOL, after all these years of PC gaming experience it's nice to be humbled by simple human error rather than someone else's bug... It works great Thomas. Thanks!! |

"select game"...not "random game"... either way, still not the right button... I guess the "select game" button on the same dialogue box as the game number selection box threw me. I've got it down now though, so I'm off to the races. Thanks |

Yes, there's two ways to do the same thing. That happened because the game has evolved over 8 years, the select game button has always been there, but the ability to select from the winning screen itself was added later to make it easier. |

I have Windows 98 and Freecell was installed when I bought the computer. The program has been corrupted evidently and while I can still play the game, I can't move a column of cards to an empty freecell. Also the backs of the cards show a strange cross pattern and when I open the game, it always asks me if I want to quit this game when there is not game to quit. Any suggestions with out reloading Windows 98 completely would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

>I have Windows 98 and Freecell was installed when I bought the computer. The FreeCell that comes with Windows is a Microsoft game, not ours. We cannot help with technical problems with that game.

A strange thing happened to me today. I use PGS 2k (v6), am a registered user. I notice that when I try to play Yukon, there is only ONE game that I can play! If I choose a random game, still the same game pops up. It is game nr. 572871041. Also if I go to the select menu and choose another number, the number is reset to this one and the same game starts again. So far as I can see, this only happens with Yukon. And it only started just now. What could be the cause of this curious behavior? Thanks in advance. Margo Guda. |
