It depends on the number of free cells. Moving the stack is like moving one or more cards to the cells, and the last card directly on the new place. So if you have no free cells you can move only one card, if you have only one free cell you can move a small stack of two etc. In one of the old Windows Freecells the movements were slow and I could see the cards going each up to one of the free cells, and on the new piles. In the Windows game you also had/have the notice, for instance, that you try to move 5 cards and there is place only for 3. Rachel has explained it, the number of cards you can move in FreeCell depends on the number of free cells (and also empty tableau piles, these help too). |
