I won 10000155 and I don't think I did anything odd/tricky. |

I was wrong. I did do something different. Early in the game, you have a chance to play 2 black 9s in column 1...don't. A black nine comes up later and you need to move it to get to the the red 3. |

Richard, If you look at the stats for Alternations, I'm #3 with 11%, and ahead of me is our compatriots from Denmark and Canada with winning percentages in the 90's. What do they know that we don't know? What's your winning percentage for this game? |

Ken, Perhaps "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark." I've just got three wins from 26. I suspect you'd have to be extremely selective and study the tableaux before electing to play any of the deals. Even then it stretches my credulity more than a little. |

Richard, I take it you're not a big fan of this game, but have a go at #1666832256. Ken |

Hi Ken, Thanks, I got that one out at the second attempt. I've nothing whatsoever against Alternations. I suspect that I may have nuked my stats at some point though, because I was astonished by how seldom I appeared to have played it. Massively high percentages are undoubtedly due to cherry picking though. |

I thought this might be a more appropriate place to ask the question of what am I doing wrong. Here I am at 6/44/4 |

You missed the first instruction about the 4H Ken. Start from here and see if you can get the rest of the clues to follow. |

806470272 was the next random game dealt up. It looked very easy but it took me quite a while before I got it to oblige. Is it as tricky as I made it? |

Got the email. Will answer when I wake up. You obviously haven't heard about the latest studies on eating, driving, playing PGS and answering forum messages in ones sleep. I will now actually go to bed. Oh wait. Olympic Team spitting is on. I have to watch that. |

Spitting huh? Where would they practice for that? The Gobi desert? Check out the events in the 1908 Olympics. Medals were awarded for the Tug-of-war and Rope Climbing. Britain won ALL the medals for Rackets. Mind you, they were the only country to compete in the event. (A bit like your World Series). I'm going to have to see if I can win four consecutive Alternations now. Drat! |

More dry humor from Richard. The Gobi desert. The Mongolians would have a huge advantage. Finished the numbers you posted. Had no luck with the next one in sequence. |

Well done with those Mike. I came very close to winning another in the sequence but never quite managed it. Perhaps I'll try again. No joy with finding a longer sequence.Getting a single is bad enough. |
