Game #3 is probably an easier one Audrey. Start with a nine. |

I've been working at Double Signora for ages, #1 with the King and #3 with the nine. Highest scores have been 138 and 136. My brain is curdled. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Double Signora is all about strategy. You must have auto-play turned off, and YOU must choose which tableau column cards from the stock and the waste go onto. Often there is a choice of places they can go. Always put playable cards onto the longest column. The tableau is vital to success. It must be checked after every move. Always condense columns, the more cards they contain the better. That means fewer in the waste. You must always pay close attention to the reserve. If the first card can be played onto the foundations then you should do so even if you have a whole column of tableau cards that could have gone up instead. It is also a good tactic not to put the occasional card onto the foundations if you have an identical one in the reserve pile. Try and ensure that they have somewhere to go by the time they become playable. When tableau cards can be played up to the foundations always check and see if you can empty two or three shorter coulms rather than an entire big one. If you can find a game where the almost the entire reserve is in descending order then it should be easy to win. That's as much advice I can give you Audrey. It's not an easy game, and I could probably replay a winnable game a few times before I managed to win it again. |

I hate to do this. But all of you have convinced me to join back in. Audrey. I am not sure how I did it. I wish I could give you one single idea that will solve #1 but I did it. So I know you can. I hope I still remember how to do this. |

The Pheonix has arisen! Well done with #1 Mike. I suggested it to Audrey some time ago. I did find it quite tricky so went on a got #3 too. I found it the easier of the pair. That's not the same as saying that either of them is easy. Far from it. |

I didn't have much luck the first time I tried #3. I am going to try again. The basic problem I have. Which you and many of the others don't is that I can't remember what I did to succeed in solving a certain hand. I knew the nines in the top pile were going to be a problem in #1. But the first time I didn't work it out. Back to #3. |

Try 360635265 Audrey, starting with an ace. It seemed to be quite willing to oblige. There was no need for any particularly clever moves either. The cards are in unusually good order. |
