Hmph - that seemed a rather trite response. I'd have preferred "We have no plans to implement that in the near future."
Or maybe what was being asked was if there is an option already available for disabling the splash screen, but the question did read "Can you do that?", not "Can I..."

A more complete answer is that there is no way to disable the splash screen in Pretty Good MahJongg because the game performs its initialization during that time. We have no plans to implement this option for that reason.

There's simply no reason to disable the splash screen. The splash screen is only visible for a few seconds while the rest of the game loads. The rest of the game has to load whether the splash screen is there or not. There needs to be something to show that the game is doing something while it loads, therefore the splash screen.
